Ranking the best Assassin’s Creed games is no small feat. After all, we’ve seen entries of all shapes and sizes across the course of the series’ history, from sprawling RPGs to tightly-focused stealth action entries – and a handful of spin-offs for good measure. The very first Assassin’s Creed game back in 2007 saw players taking their first leap of faith as Altair, and most recently, the latest entry took us to the setting of 6th centry Baghdad for Valhalla villain Basim’s origin story. In short, Ubisoft’s stealthy series has covered a lot of historical ground. With more upcoming Assassin’s Creed games on the way, its evolution looks set to continue.While there are also plenty of other upcoming Ubisoft games in the pipeline, it really is an exciting time for AC fans right now. We sadly won’t be seeing Assassin’s Creed Shadows (formerly known as Assassin’s Creed Codename Red) among the new games for 2024 following its recent delay, but what’s a few more months of waiting patiently…
